IP WatchDog Lite: Autonomous Ping, Device Reboot

Monitors the functionality (PING/WEB) of two IP devices, automatically restarts them upon failure.

Once per minute, IP WatchDog Lite sends a PING request to the IP address of the monitored device. If no reply is received, the ping-monitored device is power-cycled (rebooted) using the relay output. IP WatchDog can ping and reboot two devices (two channels, two relays).

The IP Watchdog is typically used to monitor the functionality of network devices (WiFi AP, IP Camera). IP WatchDog is frequently used to detect connectivity outages and to switch to a back-up link as needed.

  • WEB: Built-in web server, manual reset and output control, logging
  • Functions: 2 channels, autonomous ping reboot relay for two devices
    • RESET if the device stops responding (WiFi AP / IP camera not responding to PING)
    • Activation of a back-up Internet connection if the primary link fails
  • Methods of detecting functionality:
    • Ping Tx: IP WatchDog periodically sends PING requests
    • Ping Rx: IP WatchDog waits for a PING request from a specified IP address
  • Output channel: Relay output 30VDC / 1A
    Note: To restart a 110/230VAC device, use our PowerEgg unit.
